Posted in Cyprus Property News OnOctober property sales rose 31% in 2020 in comparison to October 2019. A total of 1,064 contracts were deposited in October 2020 whereas 813 were deposited in the same month last year.
Limassol had the highest rise in sales, up 76% from last year, Famagusta up by 60%, Nicosia saw an increase of 24% and Paphos 5%. Sales in Larnaca fell by 4%.
Property sales on the island overall have fallen during the first 10 months of 2020 in comparison with the same period last year. They are down by 24%. The only district which has seen an increase is Nicosia which has risen by 3%.
The breakdown of property sales by district for October 2020 and 2019 is as follows:
Nicosia: Oct 2020 – 227 / Oct 2019 – 183
Limassol: Oct 2020 – 402 / Oct 2019 – 228
Larnaca: Oct 2020 – 153 / Oct 2019 – 160
Paphos: Oct 2020 – 202 / Oct 2019 – 192
Famagusta: Oct 2020 – 80 / Oct 2019 – 50
Total overall: Oct 2020 – 1,064 / Oct 2019 – 813
