Since the Covid 19 pandemic, Cyprus property sales showed a sharp decrease over the last 5 months, however there are positive signs of recovery for September.
According to the Department of Lands and Surveys there has been an increase of 14% in September 2020 in comparison to September 2019. 768 contracts were deposited this September compared to 629 in September 2019.
Limassol had the highest increase in terms of actual sales contracts deposited with 253, Nicosia 195, Paphos 162, Larnaca 117 and Famagusta 59.
District breakdown as follows:
- Famagusta rose by 48%
- Nicosia showed an increase of 42%
- In Larnaca the increase was 15%
- Limassol 5%
- Paphos saw a fall of 6% compared to last September
